Brief Answer:
Please give details and post actual photographs.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and without photographs.
Read the history and understood your concerns.
Please give some additional information:
Since when have you got this growth?
Does it bleed easily?
Size and shape, surface- smooth or irregular?
Your age and gender please.
Any investigations like FNAC or biopsy?
Please post clear and focused photographs as it help sometimes for on-the-spot-diagnosis- of course to be confirmed by biopsy alone.
If the lesion is more than 3 weeks, it is always the best policy to get an examination and clinical evaluation by a Specialist and a biopsy to confirm whether this is benign or malignant growth.
Secondly a proper surgery helps to get rid of the mass which is not a normal part of the body.

The left side of my tonque is also hurting
It started about a week ago.
The pain was sudden because i didnt bite my tongue
The pain is severe at night and in the mornings
I brush my teeth frequently since it started because it reduces the pain

What could have caused this pain?

Brief Answer:
As detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
There are a few reasons for such a pain that you have described:
- Neurological as there is sudden onset of pain on the left side of the tongue.
- There can be a granuloma at this spot.
- ulceration of the tongue.
The cause can be ascertained by clinical examination, bimanual palpation to see if there is a granuloma, ulcer or to rule out any other such diseases.

Thanks for the reply ....
I want to find out again what causes itching throat.. which is very severe in the mornings
N wat can i do to stop the itching..
doctor
Answered by Dr. T Chandrakant (8 hours later)
Brief Answer:
As explained below.

Detailed Answer:
The commonest cause of itching throat is allergic or irritation from the allergens which can get stuck in the mucus in throat.
Another reason is granular pharyngitis, the retained secretions overnight can cause severe irritation in the mornings.
Warm water in the morning helps to loosen the mucus and you can have instant relief, try this please.
If there is any evidence of infection, then only the antibiotics are started.
Antihistamine can help for this.

doctor
Answered by Dr. T Chandrakant (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
Stop worrying as this is going to be a simple process.

Detailed Answer:
There is no special precautions that are needed.
Since the growth is of wrist watch battery size, it will be done under local anesthesia.
You will be alright very soon after the process.
Anesthesia wears off within half to one hour.
You can have liquids after few hours.
Request for stitched wound, as it heals very very fast.
Within few days you will be alright.
