Question: I am an 80 year old male in good health. Recently I have developed an angry red rash around my perianal region. It is a perfect oval shape about 3 inches diameter. No blisters, not itchy but sore.
What advice can you give please?

I have gone through your query and have checked the attached image. You seem to have perianal excoriation (skin erosion). Applying Siloderm Mixi Ointment / Sucral M Ointment or similar preparations topically should provide relief.

Keep the area clean and dry. You may also apply Candid (clotrimazole) powder topically.
