Question: Hello, a little rash has developed near the inside of my leg a few inches where it meets the scrotum on the left side. It's probably nothing, but I was hoping you could have a look at it. Thank you!

In a situation like this, the best response is expected by measures as hereunder:

1 This problem is caused by retention of moisture (normally due to germs/ exercise /sweating) in the area. Physical movements like walking, jogging, running, exercise result in friction because of which the skin gets macerated and develops redness and soreness.

2 Keeping the area well ventilated and protected from physical friction relieves the problem in most cases. However, prompt response can be derived by using Eumosone M cream or an equal proportion of Hydrocortisone and Miconazole creams applied thrice daily.

3 It is advisable to use loose garments and avoid soap in the area for three to four days.
