What Causes A Pus Filled Boil On The Back Of The Thigh?

Question: My daughter is 11 years old,she has developed a boil sort of thing on the back of her thigh,it started like a prickly heat sort of a point(pit) now it looks like a boil with pus and is hurting her a little,i am attaching a picture along ,what should we do,can input soframicin?

Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
I have gone through your complaints as well as reviewed the attached photographs.
It seems to be furuncle which is bacterial infection of the hair follicle.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to give her oral antibiotic like tablet cefixime 100 mg twice daily for 5-7 days and apply topical antibiotic like mupirocin cream on the affected area twice daily for 5-7 days.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
For pain she can take tablet paracetamol 500 mg half a tablet and can repeat after 6 hours if required.
