default
Posted on Tue, 8 Aug 2017
Question: I have a cuticle which does not look infected, but is painful to the touch. I am going to have a knee replacement. Should I see my family doc. It is not particularly red, no pus, no fever, nothing showing on the whole finger

Brief Answer:
Non Infecred lesions will not cause any problem in surgery.

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
If it is not infected , then there will be no problem in knee replacement . Only when there is some active infection in the body, Surgery is not done . So go ahead with your surgery. But please tell your doctor about it before surgery.
Thanx for the question.
