What Causes A Hard Lump Under The Nipple?

Question: At my chest beneath my nipples it has got hardened. Many year ago it happened and a doctor gave me medicine and it became fine. Please suggest a medicine.

A hardness below nipple can be due to either due to infection of nipple itself in a stage of induration or due to non cancerous benign tumor .However diagnosis can be confirmed only on clinical examination in person by a qualified General Surgeon .

I shall be happy if you can post me more details to help me in making precise comments
1) Is there anty discharge from the nipple ?
2) Is the hardness palpable as a discrete movable lump ?
3) What is the duration of nipple ?
4) Is it painful?

In majority of cases it is due to localized infection which gets resolved with taking
antibiotics like Doxicycline and anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily for a week..
