What Causes A Hard Lump Around Right Vas Deferens In Scrotum?

default
Posted on Mon, 10 Aug 2015
Question: Hi,

I have asked this before but I was not answered. I have recently found a hard lump around my right vas deferen (directly on it) in the scrotum close to the testes (not on the testes). It does not hurt it does not cause discomfort, (it is slightly smaller than the size of a tic tac) I am just concerned and wonder if you have any idea what it could be?

Brief Answer:
Cyst is the most probable reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Lump in this location is most likely a cyst. It is a fluid filled benign lesion. Can be painless. Can slowly get larger.
Other possible reason is varicocele - enlarged vein of the spermatic cord.

Any lump found in the scrotum should be checked with possible cancer. That is why I suggest you to consult urologist and have testis ultrasound done.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
