Question: Can my ears feel full due to allergies. I have severe allergies in the summer months but recently have had very full ears. Ive been to an ENT and he said the ears look fine.

Yes, ears can become full when you are having nasal allergy. The reason, blockage of the Eustachain tube (the tube connecting nose and the ear). Nasal allergy induces inflammation of the nasal mucosa. Inflamed nasal mucosa narrows the opening of the Eustachian tube, thereby, creating a negative pressure in the middle ear and sense of fullness.

Treatment of nasal allergy/hay fever can reduce the symptoms. Also, steam inhalation can help in reducing the congestion around the Eustachian tube opening and clear the block.
