What Causes A Fullness Sensation In The Ear?

default
Posted on Sat, 6 May 2017
Question: For a few years I have noticed a fullness in my left ear. When I perform a valsalva, the left one almost always fills up first. I have frequent sinus allergies, none that cause muscous, but a feeling of swelling and aches. Lately I have been feeling light headed, slightly dizzy and off balance.

Brief Answer:
Eustachian tube blockage

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HealthcareMagic and thanks for putting up the query
you are having eustachian tube blockage caused by sinusitis. You are probably having a nasal deviation which is causing a unilateral tube blockage and hence a raised middle ear pressure and fullness. Please get a CT scan paranasal sinuses done and send me the pictures.
The dizziness or imbalance can be due to ear problem or some systemic cause.
Get your blood pressure checked.
Take tablet stemetil thrice daily for 5 days.
take an oral decongestants and nasal spray twice daily for eustachian tube blockage.
All the medicines I have prescribed will be available only on prescription.
Any further questions are always welcome.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thanks and regards
