Brief Answer:
Colonoscopy will visualise the Colon.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Air will enter the Gastrointestinal tract during eating and drinking. It comes out through Anus as Flatus. This is normal phenomenon. Air enters into the abdominal cavity when bowel gets injured by trauma or a hole due to perforation. If this happens, there will be severe pain in the abdomen, distension, vomiting, Constipation etc. It is an emergency.
Fluid can get collected inside the abdomen and it will be confirmed by Ultrasound abdomen.
In some, gaseous distension of the abdomen can be due to large bowel.Colonoscopy visualises the colon. There is no air injection or withdrawl in that procedure.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards

Thanks for your answer, but the air seems to be in my back, chest, goes to my neck, head, and causes me to cough. Sputum is minimal and colourless with air bubbles.

You should get a Xray chest

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Air from the lungs can enter beneath the skin due to trauma and feel like crackling sensation.
It is called Subcutaneous emphysema. It resolves spontaneously.
Get an Xray chest for confirmation.
