Doctor asked for some tests like haemogram and stool urine almost every test and report came out is totally normal its just a iron deficiency but how i can be lacking in iron i mean i eat a lot good like 100gm of sprouts every day, tofu and every fruit almost 500 ml of milk and 400 gm of curd and 500 ml of lassi and i do take lemon water to increase iron absorbtion, then how come it happened, my monthly cycle too is fine. I do not face any kind of problem apart from being pale. One thing that changed is i started doing tough exercising strength exercising since last 5 months ........Is that the reason for my low Haemoglobin level??????????????Please giude me

Brief Answer:
Increased iron demand can lead to iron deficiency. but exercise is not the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have iron deficiency anemia and you need iron supplements that is final.

Cause of iron deficiency is chronic blood loss, low dietary intake or increase the iron demand like pregnancy, lactation.

You have already gone through urine and stool test and its normal. Your menstrual cycle is also normal so chronic blood loss is ruled out. You are taking good diet so it may be due to malabsorption or many times we can not found the exact cause.

Don't worry much about the cause. Just take iron rich diet like jaggery, dates, dry fruits, green leafy veg. etc
Take iron supplements according to advise.

Hope you will be fine after iron treatment.
