What Causes A Deep Dark Red Patch On Skin After Heat Exposure?

Question: Hello Doctor, Due to extreme heat suddenly I feel that in my neck (fron side below chin) a thick deep dark red patch formed. Its not itching, nor paining. But its a burnt like feeling when I hover my finger over it. Due to extreme heat, it is feeling like burnt. Can you please suggest what can be done.

Brief Answer: Vitamin deficiency Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for the image. I have seen the image, I suspect the lesion to be due to vitamin deficiency . Do take multivitamin supplements (Tab Supradyn) on daily basis. This will help to get rid of such patches. Also apply calamine lotion over the lesions twice daily. It will prevent further worsening.
