What Causes A Big Lesion On The Penis With The History Of Impetigo?
Question: Is someone really there?
If so, I have a serious question. 4 weeks ago my son had impetigo, and wS treated with antibiotics that cleared it up. However, he has a big sore on his penis that hasn't and won't heal, and he says he has "burst pimply things" in his inner thighs too. He is 12. I'm concerned because his dad was extremely sexually abusive during our marriage, and for some time my son has been avoiding time with his dad as much as possible. I don't want to be paranoid, but is there any chance it could just be more impetigo, or could it be heroes, which I know his dad has.

Unfortunately he won't show me any of the lesions. I intend taking him to the doctor tomorrow so I guess I will wait and see what she says.

Does he complain of any symptoms like itching?pain?burning on urination?
Let me know what your doctor says.
It could be a simple impetigo. Genital herpes presents with discrete, grouped erosions which are usually painful or have a burning sensation.
In case of any doubt a blood test for herpes (ELISA for HSV type 2) at 12 weeks after the lesions appeared, would be conclusive
