Question: I was to dr and showed 30 mcg protein in urine. Clear of anything else on test strip. I do have slight burning on urination an leg pain without swelling. Could this just be a UTI or something else to worry about

Brief Answer:
Nothing beyond a possible UTI!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this finding and all the inconveniences this has caused you. Up to 30mcg in urine is normal. Only beyond 30mcg is considered abnormal and warrants further investigation. Because of burning, an UTI is possible. I hope the antibiotics would be able to address the burning sensation. However, I will also recommend that you get a urine culture to be certain whether you have an infection or not and what the germ is.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
