Brief Answer:
Possibly...

Detailed Answer:
Hi there my dear,

I have gone through the photo of the red palms of your child. From what I can see and descriptions you are giving ( as the photo is not clear enough), the red blotchy and slightly raised patches (erythema) might be related to:

- possible allergic reaction (to detergents, soaps, or other things he might have been in contact)

- allergy to foods/drinks he has consumed recently

- if it is hot at the place you are living and he is sweating, then, it might be related to sweaty hands

At this point, I'd suggest to consult with a dermatologist to rule out endo/exo-genous eczema and get it treated properly.

Meanwhile, you can observe the foods, drinks or other objects your child is in contact to determine what is triggering it.

You can:
- apply cold compresses on the palms to reduce itchiness
- apply OTC anti-itchiness cream other than steroids. If no improvement, can apply steroid cream, but need to discuss it with dermatologist first.

All the best! Do write me back if you have further queries!
