Dear Doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

The pain is associated with stiffness in the back and gets aggravated in the morning after sleeping in the cot. It feels much better if slept on the floor. Does not feel the pain daily but often.

There is general weakness but nothing specific.

Having this problem for couple of months now.

Brief Answer:
Description below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

As per your attached report, You have lumber spondylosis.

Generally the overlying muscles of the vertebral column reacts to any underlying irritation or inflammation in the form of spasm preventing any movement, termed as protective muscle spasm. This spasm could be the cause of stiffness in your entire back.

Intermittant moist heat fomentation of the affected regions may be of great help in reducing the muscle stiffness.

For this condition you have to do stretching & strengthening exercises in which you have to stretch tight muscle & strengthen weakened ones which will alleviate stress on facet joint

Sleep over hard surface without using mattress.
Avoid lifting weights by leaning forward or bending your back. Rather sit and lift
the object.

As your vit D level is very low, continue taking vit D supplements under supervision of your doctor.

Wishing you speedy recovery...

Warm regards.
