Brief Answer:
Possible pathological fracture to be ruled out.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I can certainly understand your concern.

Considering your age and narration the possibility of a PATHOLOGICAL FRACTURE to preliminarily rule out.

These are more common in hip bones particularly the neck of the femur. Hence I advise you to get an x-ray both hips along with serum levels of vitamin D for further management.

Meanwhile, a short course of oral analgesic drugs like Diclofenac sodium will help to get over the pain.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these medications and tests for further evaluation.

Review with reports.

Thank you.

Regards,
