What Can Cause Bleeding Gums, Diarrhea, Irritation Around The Anus And Stomach Discomfort?

Question: I have had some ongoing symptoms that have been going on for over a year. My symptoms started with bleeding gums, diarrhea , and irritation around my anus. Unpleasant feeling in my stomach. I have been to several specialists and identified some causes, namely allergy to dairy products and sensitivity to garlic. Could these symptoms be side effects of one or more of my medications?

So better to take pantoprazole (antacid) and see if it reduces unpleasant stomach sensations.

Is it possible that my Prilosec could be causing my mouth symptoms? I have been taking it for several years and mouth and gum irritation is one of the rarer side effects listed. I have bad heartburn if I forget a dose. Will taking an antacid be enough to replace the Prilosec if I quit taking it?

And I don't think your mouth symptoms are due to prilosec.

Which antacid you want to use in place of prilosec?

Newer drugs are Pantoprazole and Esmoprazole.
