What Can Cause A Small Mass Underneath The Nipple?

default
Posted on Mon, 15 May 2023
Question: Good Evening,

In my early twenties I used anabolic steroids for a few years. I noticed a very small mass underneath my left nipple, and one barely above my right nipple after some time. Now the lump slightly above my right nipple seems to have gotten bigger over years, (i have gained some weight also) and I havent really kept the best track of its growth. It seems to be a sideways oval shape and is movable. It gets painful when pressed upon. It is anywhere from .5 inches to an inch in length, directly above my nipple. I am slightly concerned and am awaiting medical insurance from my work to be effective in May. So, I was just curious if these are normal signs of gynecomastia as a result of steroid abuse or something I should act upon ASAP. Thank you for your response.

Brief Answer:
Anabolic steroids are actually androgens.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Breast lumps may not be due to anabolic steroids, as they are basically androgens. kindly get sonography and USG guided Fnac done. if they are benign lipomas,/or even breast tissue they can be cosmetically excised.

Kindly get a few more tests done.

LH, FSH, Prolactin, TSH, FT4 Cortisol, Testosterone, LFT, CBC, RFT send me the reports so we can discuss.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you for your answer. When I obtain insurance I plan to get them checked out. I have had lumps since the steroid use, but the lump in my right breast seems to have gotten larger since stopping about four years ago. I used sustanon as my last cycle, as well as prohormones (superdrol) a few times in my late teens/early twenties. Hopefully that helps clarify. Does this sound more like a lipoma/cyst to you rather than gyno? I have a very similar lipoma on my lower back that has been evaluated y a doctor, but I haven’t been seen for the one that concerns me in my right breast, or the very small one in my left. The one in my left seems to have gotten much smaller, also. Thanks again and any further input would be appreciated, although I know it is difficult without a physical examination.

Brief Answer:
Looks like lipomas by history.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

In probability, these are benign lipomas. clinical biochemical and radiological, histological reports will only give the final answer though.

Meanwhile, some tab paracetamol as and when required for pain, will help.

Hope I have answered your query.
