Brief Answer:
Oatmeal is a good choice.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

A high fasting blood sugar indicate blood sugars were not in control the last night. It could be related to food that you had last night; inappropriate blood sugar treatment option or presence of infection.

In presence of high sugar, oatmeal is good choice for breakfast. It has high fiber and pretty low glycemic index. I also recommend you call your treating diabetologist to know about deranged sugar. He/she can alter your medications accordingly. You should also be screened for active infection.

Hope this helped. Let me know if you need clarifications.
Regards
