Brief Answer:
It is rarely possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

By "without lesions" you mean no lesions found in brain and spinal cord MRI, right?

In such case, MRI fails to show any MS related lesions in approximately 5% of patients.

Diagnosis of MS besides MRI findings, includes blood tests to rule out other similar conditions ( autoimmune diseases for example ), spinal tap and cerebrospinal fluid examination about antibodies related to MS, evoked potentials and, most important, symptoms together with medical examination findings.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
MRI report doesn't exclude MS.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

The MRI report reveals one nonspecific white matter lesion and is not excluded to be related to MS lesions.

However, as I mentioned before, only MRI is not sufficient to diagnose or exclude MS.

Best regards.

Brief Answer:
In this case, start treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

I hope you don't have it, but since there are solid doubts, I think you should start being treated.

Treatment serves as a diagnostic test too.

Discuss with your Neurologist.

Best regards.
