Question: My daughter is 12 weeks pregnant. She took what was supposed to be a smooth boat ride today in the ocean that turned out to be very choppy. She called me and is now very concerned about her fetus and pregnancy. What signs should she be looking for if there may be a problem?
She has a healthy 1 1/2 year old daughter, but the year before she had her she lost a child at about 12 weeks into the first pregnancy. I know she is overly concerned because of this, but would never have taken the boat ride today if she had known of the conditions of the water.

She is not having any abdomen pain and the ultrasound she had done a week or so was good. If there was a problem, would pain start fairly soon?
