Question: I have a vein sticking out, left side of my neck by my XXXXXXX apple in the front. Don't believe its a jugular. What is this?

This is Dr Sameer, cardiologist.
The vein in front of your neck is not juglar & is one of the vein draining from juglar.
This is normal & nothing to be worried of. Veins are superficial & can easily be seen from outside.

JVD is Juggular Vein Distention.
