Detailed Answer:
Hi,thank you for posting your query on health care magic.
I can understand your concern.
You are suffering from excess mucus production in the throat probably due to Laryngopharyngeal reflux.Laryngopharyngeal reflux is defined as the reflux of gastric content into larynx and pharynx.

Medrol contains Methylprednisolone. It is a steroid. It is helpful in case of Allergic problem like Allergic rhinitis,Asthma, etc.

Instead to Medrol,it would be advisable to take following medicines:
Antihistaminic like Levocetrizine,Mucolytic like Ambroxol/Guaifenesin and Antacid like Liquid Digene.

Continue with Aciphex(Rabeprazole-Proton pump inhibitor) and Zantac(ranitidine).

Antihistaminic help in reducing mucus production.Mucolytic helps in break down of mucus.Antacids neutralize the acid that your stomach makes.Proton-pump inhibitors and Zantac(ranitidine) can block your stomach from making too much acid.

Take following life-style measures for mucus in the throat:
Avoid milk and milk products like yogurt, cottage cheese and butter, meat and fried foods, as they cause excess mucus in the throat. These items carry protein molecules called casein that increases secretions of mucus and is difficult to digest.

Make sure that you drink plenty of liquids such as water, juice or tea with honey, and gargle daily with warm salt water to thin out mucus.

Inhale steam from a tub of boiling water or hot shower to loosen mucus in the throat and sinus congestion.

Blow your nose frequently to prevent mucus from draining into your throat.

Drink hot liquids to moisten the airways and break up the mucus.

Limit exposure to irritants such as household cleaners, paint fumes, chemicals or cigarette smoke. Stop smoking as it irritates the throat and worsens respiratory conditions.

Take following life-style measures in case of Laryngopharyngeal reflux:

Treating obesity/overweight in you are suffering from obesity/over weight by reducing daily caloric intake and aerobic physical activity.

Changing food habits:Avoid High-fat foods and chocolate as they might reduce LES(lower esophageal sphincter) pressure or prolong gastric emptying leading to reflux.Increase fiber intake.Increase fruit and vegetable intake. Reduce spicy and sweet food intake. Reduce carbohydrate beverage intake as they can also decrease XXXXXXX pressure.Reduce acid beverage intake (orange or apple juice).Reduce alcohol and coffee.
Eat food slowly. After eating, have a minimum gap of 2-3 hours for sleeping.

Elevating the head of the bed.

Hope this answers your question.I would be happy to answer if you have any follow-up questions.Take care.
