Brief Answer:
Risperidone is given in children with ASD and ADHD

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

Respiridon (Risdone) is given to children suffering from ASD(autistic spectrum disorder) and ADHD.
It helps in improving the main symptoms of ASD like social impairment, communication problem and stereotypies. Respiridon is a newer anti psychotic with better efficacy and less side effects.
Usually it us given in children above 5 years of age but physicians prescribe this in children below 5 also based on their experience.
The dose given in children below 20 kg is 0.25 mg as in your case.
The main side effect is abnormal movement, excessive sleepiness, sweating, palpitation etc.
In most of the cases children tolerate the medicine well in prescribed dose without any significant complication.
I would request you to continue the same under guidance of your doctor.. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Brief Answer:
You may give Brain IQ syrup as it has no major side effect

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Brain IQ syrup contains polyunsaturated fatty acid(Decosahexamenoic acid and Eicosahexanoic acid). Both these are omega 3 fatty acid and is derived from fish oil. It helps in formation of nerve sheath(nerve myelination) and this growth of brain.
As it is polyunsaturated side effects are very less in comparison of other oil. Very less but there can be diarrhea, vomiting or abdominal fullness. This syrup can be given safely.

I shall be glad to help further if you need any.
Regards
