What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Horizant, Tramadol And Pantoprazole?
Question: I am on a lot of medications and was wondering what are the side effects of taking them all. I have high blood pressure, fibromyalgia , restless legs, sores in mouth, reflux . These are the medications: Horizant 600mg, Ropinirole HCL 0.5mg,Tramadol HCL 50 mg, Pantoprazole 20mg, Famciclovir125mg, Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg (2), and Irbesartan 75mg. I feel dizzy and light headed. Very tired and sleepy. Tramadol doesn't seem to help me too much with my pain. I am wondering if there is another medication with less side effects that could help with the pain of my fibromyalgia and arthritist. I am happy that there is no interaction with my medications. Thank you!

Dizziness is a side effect of Ropinirole and can occur upto 40%. Horizant and Tramadol can make you sleepy.
For pain relief you can try Celecoxib and reduce the dose of Tramadol and Horizant. Do not stop abruptly as you may be habituated to these medicines but taper down the dose.

Thank you very much for answering. I have a question about my husband who is 86 years old and sufferes from cognitive impairment . He had a hemorrhaging stroke 3 years ago and has also atrial fibrillation. He suffers very much from dizziness, light headedness, headache, and balance problems. He has high blood pressure, reflux, thyroid problem and atrial fibrillation. He is taking a baby aspirin every day , Donepezil HCL 10mg. (Aricept), Levothyroxine 50 MCG, Rosuvastatin (Crestor) 20mg, Omeprazole(Prilosec) 20mg, Escitalopram(Lexapro) 20mg. I am just wondering if he could have hyperparathyroidism. His calcium is 10.2 and. I read that if your calcium is 10 you should be examined for hyperparathyroidism. Could you please advise me. He has been extremely dizzy and has problems with balance, Drs say it is from his stroke . Should I. Look into. His parathyroid? Thank you!!

A serum calcium of 10.2 needs to be looked into. But it is good to repeat the value and make sure it is elevated and that it is not a lab error.
It can be due to hyperparathyroidism or due to certain malignancies. For hyperparathyroidism he can check Parathormone ( PTH) level in the blood.
His dizziness and balance problems can be due to decrease in blood flow to certain parts of the brain or due to an inflammation in the ear.
If you believe in herbal medicine, you could try giving him Ginkgobiloba. It may reduce his dizziness.

My husband fell on his hand today. His knuckles are Very swollen and blue. Can you break your knuckles and if so what can be done for It?
