Looking at your clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows:
The bad things that can happen are:
1. It can cause worsening of prostatic symptoms especially if you are suffering from enlargement of prostate.
2. Increased risk of prostate cancer
3. Bloot clot in legs or lungs
4. Swelling of ankles, feet, etc.
5. Can lead to cardiac failure
6. Disturbed sleep, specifically sleep apnea
7. Enlarged or painful breasts - gynaecomastia
8. Can lead to rise in blood pressure.
9. Hepatic adenomas, cholestasis and jaundice
10. Polycythemia- increased RBC count
11. Possible drug abuse and addiction.

However, Its main benefit is in osteoporosis.

MY PSA's are normal and my LFT's are normal as well. My concern lies in the Questionable DX of something called IMGUS based on elevated IGM protein. Hem/Onc at XXXXXXX is taking a watchful waiting approach and I am wondering if all of this has something to do with the testosterone. I do have several gastro issues incl IBS/Diarrhea. Being a Vet with PTSD I am very stressed with the cavalier way my concerns are looked upon i.e. it's all anxiety!

Brief Answer:
Testosterone can increase cell proliferation

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
This time, I will try to be specific.

1. MGUS is monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance
2. It presents with Increasing levels of IgM, not enough details to call it as Multiple myleoma
3. It is a precursor lesion of multiple myeloma
4. You need to followed up for life, as there is a 25% possibility of MGUS turning into multiple myeloma. It might take on an average 10-20 years for it to convert.
5. Watchful and waiting approach is the only option.
6. Testosterone is known to increase cell proliferation. So, it could complicate things by reducing the timeline from 10 years.

Any further queries, happy to help again.
