Brief Answer:
stop, can cause cancer.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

It is a smokeless Tobacco, can induce a higher blood-nicotine level, which is sustained for longer periods since users tend to chew over a period of hours.

These products also have dangers of their own, including gum diseases, erosion of teeth and blackening of lips, mucosal ulcers in cheek and jaw muscles leading to a medical condition known as submucosal fibrosis(difficulty in mouth opening, speech and swallowing problems). It is a pre cancerous, if not stopped chewing tobacco can turn into cheek cancer.

With the combination of betel nut and lime(tanninc acid+ nicotine +lime) can cause micro ulcers leading to unhealed ulcer later develops as a cancer. The quid,(juice) females usually keep in back of cheek are the victims of cancer at retro molar trigone(corner of cheek), its difficult to detect.

I suggest you to to consult ENT surgeon and get throat examination to rule out any lesions if you are already eating. If not, please, not to try.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
