Brief Answer:
Standard doses are 200-400 mg per day.

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related doubts

I can understand your concern regarding the medicines and your doubts regarding the side effects of the medicines. You have Schizophrenia, and you have to understand that the disease is a chronic psychiatric illness. You are currently working and this is really a good thing. A lot of individuals develop deterioration of personality over long time but you have relatively preserved personality and this is a good thing.

Most of antipsychotics used in schizophrenia have sedation as side effects but some drugs are considered as relatively safer. Amisulpiride is one of these drugs. The drug is not associated with much sedation and has great efficacy. Since your disease is of long duration so in my opinion the drug is really suitable for your symptoms. Long term illness as well as treatment results in development of negative symptoms like apathy, lack of pleasure in anything, depressive symptoms, lack of interest, poor social interaction, poor desire etc. Amisulpiride is an antipsychotic that is found to be useful in treating all these symptoms.

You are taking 150 mg per day doses and are reporting great improvement. Still if you want to increase the doses to 200 mg then that would be a good idea. The drug along with Prodep will help to reduce the symptoms and will be very useful for you. In most cases optimum doses of the drug are 200-400 mg per day. Higher doses are associated with some side effects especially sexual side effects in some rare individuals, but these are reversible side effects and reduce on stopping the drug. So increase the doses gradually and not abruptly.

So the drug will help you in controlling your symptoms and increase in dose would definitely help you.

Standard doses in patients of psychosis are 200-400 mg per day. Though final doses depends upon individuals response.

The feelings of smell, sweating especially in some situations will also improve with these medicines. No need to worry. Continue to take these medicines and your symptoms will improve.

Other antipsychotics like Aripiprazole, Blonanserine etc are also not associated with much sedation and drowsiness. But their efficacy has not been much studied.

Thanks, I hope this helps you. Please don't hesitate to ask again for more doubts.

Take care
