Question: Hi, I have been taking Haldol for two weeks. I don't know what this medication does, I have problems with this medication.

Haldol (contain Haloperidol as the active ingredient) is an antipsychotic medication. It blocks the dopamine receptors in the brain.

Haldol is used in the treatment of agitation, aggression, delirium, confusion, hallucinations, delusions, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and mood disorders.

Side effects of Haldol are several including dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, headache, muscle stiffness, muscle pain and twitching, sensory alterations like crawling in skin, movement disorders, mask-like face, gait problems, weight gain, fever, allergic reaction, cardiac problems etc

Please let me know the exact problems which you are experiencing so that I can give you some specific information regarding whether or not it is due to Haldol.
