Question: My daughter just swallowed a small hexagonal point tool bit. We were using it to adjust her butterfly appliance. Should I go to the ER?

Dear Ms, you need to undergo an X-ray chest for her. if the swallowed part was found to be in the digestive tract then no need to worry and it will pass down with the stools the following day unless if it was sharp and was embedded in the wall of the digestive tract then it will need removal with endoscopy.
if it was in the respiratory tract then it will need endoscopic removal to avoid the development of complications.
