Question: My mother aged 60 years drunk floor cleaner mistakenly one sip about 20-30 ml. That was herbal phenyl made of distilled cow urine, lemongrass, eucalyptus oil, pine oil and other herbs. After that she drunk lot of water and vomited two times. She drunk it about 5 hours before and not having any problem. Only little bit burning is there in throat. What we should now. Should we visit to hospital or we can observe her and if she feel any problem then we can go. Kindly suggest.

Brief Answer:
Suggested consultation with gastroenterlogist

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

The contents of any floor cleaner might include certain acids or alkalis which can damage the oral, esophageal and gastrointestinal mucosa.

If there is burning in the throat then it is suggested to consult a gastroenterlogist and get clinically evaluayed and get anupper gastrointestinal endoscopy done to assess any damage, if clinically indicated.

Hope your query is answered.
