Question: Hi Dr,

I am 29 year old male. I have no B.P. and diabetes. Iam having baldness. Iam going for Hair transplantation. Iam on antipsychotic medication Saphris (asenapine) 10mg for some years. Is Hair transplantation safe for me?Are there any precautions for me

Hair transplantation is a procedure involving planting of roots of hair on your scalp.
It is a mechanical procedure and hence your medications will not affect the procedure in any way. Anaesthesia is also not affected by asenapine.
There are no special precautions for you, you just have to follow the instructions given by your plastic surgeon.
