Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

This is a very good question. I think we underestimate the influence that soda can have upon the body.

Soda does have carbonation which can sometimes affect the balance of electrolytes in the body. It can sometimes cause wasting of calcium. In addition the electrolyte imbalance triggered by excessive consumptionof these types of beverages can cause kidney problems.

I don't think it is necessarily the acid content of the sida that is the main problem.instead it is a combination of all of the ingredients of this particular type of beverage and how these ingredients affect the body's balance of pH as well as electrolytes.

as with most anything we usually recommend consumption with moderation. I would also talk to your doctors about recommendations regarding daily consumption.

Thanks again for sending your question. I wish you all the best.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
