Brief Answer:
Not high but possible

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

This is area where carpal bones and distal radius are located and this may be typically broken in this type of injury mechanism. However, we see fracture usually when there is fall from height or in older people with osteoporosis. In your case if there is just bruising, i don't think it may be broken but if there is limitation of movement in carpal joint, increasing pain then you should do x-rays. Otherwise, put ice, elastic bandage, rest and take non-steroid painkillers.

Wish you good health. Regards

There is some limitations to movement. And of course if the area is touch there is a good bit of pain. Level 1-10 if touched at least a 6. Movements 3-4.

Brief Answer:
Then better do X-rays

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Well, in this case it would be better to do x-rays since it may indicate scaphoid bone fracture which requires immobilization with cast. This is not urgent, but you can see in next day or 2 if it will improve, and if not, you should do rtg scan.
