What Are The Chances Of HIV Contraction Through Non-penetrative Sexual Activity?

default
Posted on Tue, 17 Nov 2015
Question: Hello Doctor,
I was getting a hand-job at a massage place. The woman suddenly started rubbing her pussy with her other hand(10seconds). Then, she stated stroking my penis with the hand she used to rub herself. She might have been on for a 3-5 seconds when i stopped her and asked her to use the other hand.
When i got home(in less than 15-20 minutes), i washed myself completely.
Do u think i stand a chance for getting infected with HIV or any other STD?

I appreciate you time.

Brief Answer:
Chances of HIV or STD infection is almost nil

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. If her hand was dry then the chances of any infection like HIV or STD is extremely less.

2. Infections require some amount of fluid to be transmitted successfully from the host to the recipient.

3. In your situation, the time of 3 to 5 seconds is too less for an infection to be transmitted. You also washed yourself within few minutes when you got home.

In conclusion, the chances of HIV or STD infection is almost nil.

Hope your query is answered.

I forgot to mention that she was using oil as a lubricant for the hand-job. Do u think i have the slightest chance if her hands were not dry as there was not much time between her stopping to rub herself and then using that hand for the hand-job. Besides the facts i mentioned, there was no other activity.
I have medical insurance. Do u think, i should talk to my doctor to prescribe me the drug you are supposed to take within a certain time to minimize the chances of transmission?
Again, i do appreciate your time.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Right now no drugs required

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. By dry hand I meant the absence of any vaginal fluid since any infection is transmitted due to entry of vaginal fluids containing organisms. If she was using lubrication then it is difficult to comment about dry hands. However the chance of transmission considering that she used lubricants is almost nil.

2. Doctors will not prescribe any drugs in your situation because there was no sexual intercourse and the event itself is not a high risk for transmission of HIV.

3. The chance of sexual infection is less because you washed in a few minutes. However if you develop any urinary symptoms or rashes then it can be from a sexual infection for which you have to take treatment only after confirmation and if there are symptoms

Hope your query is answered.

Just clearing up the last bit of confusion. She was using the oil on me. When she started touching me with the hand she touched herself, we were already a few minutes in the act and my member was already oiled up. But if it helps, she did not penetrate the finger inside her, it was all outside her vagina. She kept repeating herself saying she was clean as she saw i got tensed. Though, i had my doubts so asked her to stop.
I believe this was my last visit to any massage place. I hope I develop the self control and keep these risky activities at bay.
You and the team are doing a great job.
thanks for all your answers.
Have a great day!!
God Bless!!

Welcome and wish you good health

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back with an appreciation.

1. If she never inserted her fingers in to her vagina then I further confirm that the chance of infection is almost nil.

2. Please do not get tensed and stay calm.

3. Massage is good as long safe health practices are in place.

Good day and great health.
