Question: Hi - I use a vaporizer for marijuana. How long before surgery should I quit. I don't use much marijuana - a few tokes a weekend. Also I drink 2-3 glasses of wine per week. Is this a problem? Thanks ---XXXXXXX

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Since you are habituated to marijuana it is not likely to produce any unexpected response in your body. Still it would be best if you quit marijuana and alcohol 2 weeks before your scheduled surgery so that all the drug gets adequate time to get cleared from the body.
If you quit their use well in time then it is not likely to cause any problem.
I hope this answers your query.
