Urine Test Showed Trace Of Protein And Pus Cells. Had Protected Intercourse. Have Stress And High BP. Treatment?

Question: Hello doctor,
My urine test shows trace of protein & blood. Pus cells- 6-8 hpf, rbc- 6-8 hpf, epithellial cells- 1-2 hpf. Urine culture tests showed no growth in epithelial cells, pus cell & rbc. 2 years back I had sexual intercourse with an escort with proper protection only. Now I am consulting a doctor right now, I am afraid he would ask me such questions in front of my family member. Might that be a reason? I also have stress, recently high BP. Could you please guide me through this. Would like to provide another piece of information, I had this urine flow problem like abrasion few months back. During course of urine flow Blood came out and after I had some food which cools my stomach it resolved in few days. Again I am facing this abrasion. Thanks in advance

Brief Answer:
You have Hematuria with pain in abdomen.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query.
Based on your urine report and symptoms it could be due to Bladder infection (Cystitis)
I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me to make comments on your problems.
1) Did you have any urinary symptoms after protected sex 2 years back?
2) Do you pass XXXXXXX blood while urinating or it is a red coloured urine?
3) How is the stream of urine is it normal or weak?
4) Do you have to strain while passing urine?
5) Do you have other urinary symptoms like urgency , increased frequency of urination or burning while passing urine ?

Presence of 6-8 pus cells and 5-6 RBC suggests infection of the bladder (Cystitis).
Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical evaluation and to get following test under his guidance
1) Ultrasound scanning of the abdomen to rule out presence of urinary stone and to confirm Cystitis.
Do not worry this problem will get resolved after taking antibiotic for a week.
Ensure to drink more water to keep your urine dilute.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask me I shall be happy to help you

1. No.
2. Colour of urine is always pale yellow. Blood occured only two times till now and its not continuous. Just a drop
3. Normal.
4. No. strain is only before that that two times when blood came. felt like something blocked the urine passage and abrasion caused the strain
5. no urgency, no frequent urination nor burning sensation
I am having an appointment with an urologist today afternoon.

Thanks doctor for your response. I was browsing google and was worried by many posts in the forum. They said pus cells in urine might be the problem of having sex with a person having std.
I am having rash under my genital. probably because of because of abrasion and I fear it might be some symtom of hiv. Please clarify my doubt thanks doctor in advance

Brief Answer:
It is definitely not STD.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for feedback.
Based on the information you have posted it appears that you passed few drops of blood after straining for urination .This is most likely that you had passed a small stone through urethra and and had abrasion of the urethra due to stone.
Since it is a isolated episode of passing few drops of blood you need not worry at all.
Go ahead and have opinion of Urologist.
Ensure to drink more water it will settle down in 4-5 days.
Thanks and Regards.

hello doctor,
I met my urologist and he wast happy with the uro flowmetry test and said the flow was less. Anyways from the other report he said it was fine and prescribed me with a tablet. Guess it is an antibiotic. Its name is alfoo. And he asked me to follow it for 15 days and get back to him.
Thank you so much for the confirmation that its not a std. I wanted to add that I had sex in few more times but its all with protection only.
My urologist also asked if he had asked me to take semen culture test before and I said no. Wondering why he would ask that?
Please clarify me that doctor.
