Brief Answer:

Herceptin is given With docetaxel and carboplatin post surgery

Detailed Answer:

Hi

Since patient is stage 3 A left breast cancer and has done left mastectomy now adjuvant chemotherapy means chemotherapy and herceptin after surgery is given after which radiation should be given

Herceptin is given With docetaxel and carboplatin post surgery

It can be given after surgery to reduce the likelihood of the breast cancer returning or spreading to another part of the body.

This is known as adjuvant treatment. It may be given with or after chemotherapy

It can be given in two ways:

By infusion where the medication is fed slowly into your bloodstream through a drip.

The first treatment usually takes about 90 minutes and further treatments take about 30 minutes

It can also be given by by subcutaneous injection an injection under the skin of the thigh that takes a few minutes

The first time you have Herceptin you'll need to stay in hospital for around six hours so you can be monitored for any side effects.

Further treatment sessions usually only require up to two hours in hospital.

Treatment every one or three weeks is given

Duration is around 1 year

Brief Answer:
Docetaxel, carboplatin and herceptin

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Docetaxel and carboplatin with herceptin every 3 weekly for 6 cycles followed herceptin every 3 weekly for 1 year so that recurrence does not occur.

After 6 cycles docetaxel, carboplatin and herceptin at 21 days interval radiation for 1 month.

Post radiation herceptin will be contuned till 1 year at 21 days interval but after monitoring cardiotoxicity with 2 D Echocadiogeaphy.

If ejection fraction becomes less than 50 then herceptin stopped
