Brief Answer:
Procedures depends upon the cause of discolouration..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your query there are some procedures which can be either performed in a dental office or can be advised by a dentist to perform at home for whitening the teeth.

First of all I would like to know from you the cause of discolouration of teeth like :

1.Whether you have discoloration of teeth since childhood or has happened with age or poor hygiene?

2.Do you have any tobacco chewing or smoking habit?

3.Do you take excess of tea and coffee?

The treatment will be decided depending upon the cause like in case if the discoloration is since the teeth erupted in the Oral cavity in childhood then the staining of teeth is due to Intrinsic stains (internal stains).

In this case Bleaching of teeth using different Bleaching agents like Benzoyl Peroxide or Hydrogen peroxide can be done in a dental clinic or home bleach technique can be advised to you by your dentist.

Certain other techniques like Laser whitening or Power whitening can be done in a dental office in which a whitening agent is applied over teeth and is cured using Laser and is a highly effective technique..

Certain other procedures like placing Veneers placement over teeth can be done.

While in case if the stains are extrinsic (external), that have occurred due to any mal-habit like tobacco chewing or poor Oral hygiene then stains can be removed by Scaling of teeth by a dentist followed by Polishing.

Even if after Scaling and Polishing also the teeth are not completely white and as per your expectations then the above explained treatments like Bleaching or Power whitening can be performed.

It would be better if you send me Images of your teeth and answer the above mentioned questions so that I can guide you better and with more detailed answer..

Any further queries from you end are also welcome..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
