Brief Answer:
Please do this for sore gums.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

1. I would ask you to maintain oral hygiene by brushing your teeth with a soft Sensodyne toothpaste. This brushing should be in a circular up and down motion. If you brush your teeth and gums in any other way there will be problems. Generally it is due to poor oral hygiene.
2. Please buy “Floss” from any pharmacy. This is available without a doctors prescription. This is like a cotton thread. You must use it to remove food particles between the teeth.
3. Please use UBI-Q gel on your gums. They will stop paining and heal. If you cannot get UBI-Q then use ORASEP LA gel but not both. Take Becosule capsules once at night for 30 days.
4. Thus your problem is solved.

I brush regularly. I take care of hygiene as far as I can. Apart from that what can be the reason?

Brief Answer:
Kindly read these reasons for your gum problems.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

1. The reason behind your gum problem cannot be cancer, since there is pain and soreness. Furthermore, we are talking of oral cancer, in which there would be absolutely no pain, there would be pus formation.
2. Talking about other types of cancer that cause gum problems. The cause cannot be blood cancer, because if were so, there would be full blown bleeding, not only from the gums, but from other parts of the body.
3. The cause of the soreness is local injury, either while brushing forcefully or by eating something that has caused injury.
4. The next cause can be gingivitis, this is an infection of the gums. I think this is unlikely.
5. The next cause could be periodontitis. The next stage. This is like cavities of the teeth in the sense that it is not serious.
6. The treatment for these problems needs a prescription from a dentist that we cannot give you currently. So, kindly visit a dentist.
I hope you’re feeling OK now.
Regards,
Dr. Neel Kudchadkar
