Suggest Ways To Reduce Old Injury Scars On Forehead

Question: I've a surgical scar in my forehead. This is almost 17 year old. I am a 25 year old male. I need to remove this scar from my forehead.
Is it possible?

I understand your concern.
Yes definitely the the scar can be removed by cosmetic surgery. You need scar revision surgery which can be dobe by an experienced cosmetologist or plastic surgeon.
In scar revision surgery, the two ends of scar are approximated so as a very fine thin scar is left which is hardly visible.
You should visit an expert cosmetologist ir plastic surgeon for the same.
You can share my opinion with him. I hope it helps.

Cost varies from centre to centre. It may be done free of cost in Government set up. In private, it is different from different centres.
You may apply hexilak silicone gel over the scar but since it ia present for so long so it would hardly help.
Plastic surgery will help you best.
There will be a hardly visible scar as per expertise of the doctor.

1. How many days I need to take rest after this surgery?
2. After this surgery this scar will be completely non visible right?. Is there any other mark will be display after this surgery?

Hello.
As such no rest is required as It involves forehead which is done under local anaesthesia.
You can resume your work from the day itself.
Your scar will not be visible. But a thin line of scar would be there . You can discuss this with your doctor beforehand.
Hexilak won't do much in such an old scar.
