Brief Answer:
flu vaccination

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Usually cold and cough is viral in nature in kids at this age.
3 to 6 infections a year is normal phenomenon.
No need to worry. Your child's immune system is still developing and will take 3 years to completely mature.
To avoid cold attacks
1. Flu vaccine every year. This will prevent seasonal flu attacks including common and swine flu.
2. Avoid crowded places like malls and theatres as the chances of getting a viral infection is more in these places.
3. Frequent handwashing for both child and caregivers including parents and maids will ensure that infection doesn't spread within the family.
4. Plenty of fruits and vegetables to boost immunity.
Wishing your child good health
Regards
Dr Arun
