Brief Answer:
Exercise

Detailed Answer:
Hello, mister! Thank you for your question and welcome to HCM. I am Dr. Meriton. I read your query.

In this case, combining your age and your gender, which are risk factor for coronary artery disease, it is a good recommendation to be physically active. Actually, physical activity is recommended to every person, but it is also beneficial and strongly recommended for male population over 45 years old. It is not have to be vigorous activity, at all costs, but a 60 minutes per day, like walking, jogging, swimming, biking, etc., is recommended, whether you have health issues or not. Exercise works in the way that send more blood to working muscles, and blood is drawn from the inactive areas, thus increasing the blood returning to the heart, and augmenting its work.

Also, besides physical activity, I would recommend you some diet changes: low salt content; high fibre content (green leafy vegetables and fruit up to 300 g a day); alcohol up to a maximum of 30 g ethanol a day (two standard percentage beers or a glass of wine); more fish and chicken or other poultry and less red meat (red meat should be reduced to once a week).

I hope I was helpful with my answer. If you have follow-up questions, I would be happy to help. If you do not, please close the discussion and rate the answer.

Best regards,
Dr. Meriton
