There is no permanent cure for male pattern baldness although there are few medicines that stop hair fall and then cause hair regrowth in male pattern baldness and minoxidil is one of them.
I normally recommend my patients to apply minoxidil 5 percent lotion on the affected areas of the scalp.
The dose is 1 ml twice daily.
Various brands of minoxidil are available in the market like mintop lotion, tugain lotion, rogaine lotion.
You can buy either of the above as they all are equally good.
Besides this I also recommend my patients to take tablet androanagen one tablet daily.
This treatment needs to be continued for atleast 4-5 months to show significant response and for atleast 1 year to show maximum improvement.
