Brief Answer:
wait for 3-5 days

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to HCM. thanks for writing on to us with your health query. I have gone through your query and understand your concerns completely. I would like to assure you that there are no chances of pregnancy . since you had sex in the safe period that is 2 days prior to her period date. Emergency contraceptive pills are very high dose of hormone which causes uterus to get out of phase and inhibit the implantation of the embryo. Bleeding usually occurs on expected date but can be delayed when ipill is taken late into the cycle. There is no need to worry , you guy should wait for another 3-5 days, she will get her periods within this time.Regards Dr Manisha Jain.OBGY Specialist

Brief Answer:
No such effect

Detailed Answer:
No dear there is nothing like that and she can very well have a normal reproductive health in future.
This pill has a transient effect and usually wanes off with the onset of periods.
But avoid taking it too often otherwise it can lead to severe derangement of periods leading to erratic ovulation and nenstruation pattern.

Thank you doctor for your answer. But still I didn't get an idea, like how long we have to wait for her to get her normal periods because her date was supposed to be on15th April and it has crossed 5 days for now and still she didnt her periods and didn't get any symptoms, even we no that delay Is because of having that pill twice in two days like 12th mornig and on 14th night. Which we should not have taken twice but we were were tensed at that time.. kindly help us once again like

1. how long we have to wait for her periods since I didn't mention the exact date earlier

2. Is there chance that she may get pregnant

Kindly help us out because we are very much tensed and stressed out abt this issue

Brief Answer:
May take another ten days

Detailed Answer:
Her chances of pregnancy are nil since there was no egg in her body at that point of cycle to form a baby.
Her periods may take 2-10 more days to come since it is common to have a delay of 5-15 days after ipill intake so nothing to worry and just wait.
