Brief Answer:
For yeast, nystatin or fluconazol appropriate treatment

Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,

amoxicillin is an antibiotic and linzess is supposed to stimulate bowel movement. If your doctor really considers a yeast infection, above mentioned (short answer) antifungal medications would be appropriate. I suggest talking to your doc again, maybe there was a misunderstanding. If this is a chronic acid problem/ reflux, which does not respond to the antacid medication you described, there is minimal invasive operation techniques like fundoplicatio available. Also gettig a second opinion on it (for ex mayo clinic) is a good idea.

Hope this is helping you , if you have any clarificatons you can get back to me, if this was helpful please kindly rate my answer. Best regards

thank you, this is chronic and becoming unbearable I don't believe I have a yeast infection and if I do I think taking amoxicillin would make it worse. they have done several tests with no follow up, other than a new prescription. I am going to try the Mayo if they will take me. the problem is they ask which doctor you would like to see. I don't know, just a good gastroenterologist who has the time to look
at the whole picture. if you have any suggestions I will listen.

Brief Answer:
Gastroenterologist to be contacted

Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,

yes a good gastroenterologist would be the person to see. There needs to be follow up on gastroesophageal reflux and possibly helicobacter pylori to be ruled out by stool sample. Best regards again
