Brief Answer: Detailed below. Detailed Answer: Hello! Thank you for the query. Lower abdominal pain can be caused by several issues including urinary tract infection (most common), inguinal hernia, ovaries cyst or any intestinal issues. Urinary tract infection gives usually also frequent urinating, burning while urinating, pain can radiate to the back, fever can be present. Inguinal hernia usually gives pain on one side of groin. The pain is more intense when coughing or lifting some objects. Ovaries cyst can give pain only. Any intestinal issues (like chronic bacterial infection, partial bowels obstruction due to inflammatory bowels disease or even colon cancer) can give such pain as well. As you have some constipation which were not present before, you should have intestines checked as well. Please note that colon cancer usually appears in persons over 50. At your age it is less probable. However factors like obesity, fatty foods, lots of sweets or colon cancer in the family increase the risk of this cancer in any age. Here is what you should do: - start with urine analysis, stool test, stool culture test, thyroid tests, abdominal ultrasound and gynecologist consult - add probiotic to your diet and increase fiber rich products and mineral water intake - if all this tests will be negative or wont give the answer, you should consult gastroenterologist and consider colonoscopy Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions. Regards.
