Brief Answer:
Avoid wetting of wound

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX ,

I understand your concern.

I am Dr. Arun Tank, infectious disease specialist, answering your concern.

Wound should be taken care for as below:
Please keep your wound (and its dressing) dry for around one week to 10 days.

If possible, hold the affected area out of the shower or bath, or cover the dressing in plastic wrap. Alternatively, it may be easier to sponge bath for the first few days.

Dressings can usually be removed one week to 10 days after the procedure.

You can take other following precautions after biopsy for general purpose.

As you had a biopsy performed on your arm or leg, try to rest and raise the limb for the next day or so.

Avoid lifting heavy objects.

Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any sign of infection, such as pain, weeping, redness or swelling of the biopsy site.
