Suggest Treatment For Withdrawal Symptoms Of Opioids

default
Posted on Thu, 9 Jun 2016
Question: I had shoulder replacement surgery Feb25 and had to go back in for a revision on Mar26. I spent almost 5+ weeks on opioids and antibiotics. I am off them now. The constipation seemed to go away after stopping the opioids however, about this time I when I stopped both drugs, I developed these symptoms: urgency to defecate up to 6-10 times in the morning and afternoon, small pencil-thin stools, increased gas, small amounts of clear, gooey discharge with the stools. I have been taking probiotic pills, drinking Kefir, and eating yogurt every day for two weeks without improvement. I cannot get far away from a bathroom until about 2:00pm in the afternoon. What can I do to improve this condition?

Brief Answer:
You need to change medications you are taking

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. I think it is mostly due to adverse reaction to antibiotics. It causes suppression of intestinal bacteria leading to these problems. It can also be due to poor liver function. Before I advised you any further I would like to know little detail of the illness.
1.Do you take alcohol regularly?
2.Are you having Diabetes or other medical issue?
3.What medications you are taking at present?
please send me answers of these questions. I will try my best to help you.
thanks

Thank you, Sir. I do not drink alcohol on a regular basis... small amounts every couple of weeks. I do not have diabetes. I have lupus, but it has only affected my skin, so far. I did not have any of these symptoms before I went in for the first surgery. I take Plaquinil to keep lupus symptoms at bay. I take Benazepril for blood pressure, baby aspirin, and Celebrex. I eat low fat foods. XXXXXXX

Please don't abandon me now. Please tell me what I should be doing that I am not. Thank you, XXXXXXX XXXX
